The Public Service Commission (PSC) has shortlisted 477 candidates out of over 9,000 applicants for the recent advertised Principal Secretaries (PS) job position.

The PSC, in a statement to newsrooms on Thursday, noted that all the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in a two-week period beginning October 12-22, 2022.

“The Commission shortlisted 477 applicants out of 9,154 that applied for the positions whose application deadline had been extended from 20th to 27th September 2022,” read the statement signed by Corporate Communications officer Browne Kutswa.

“Selection interviews to fill the advertised positions of Principal Secretaries in the public service will be held from 12th to 22nd of October 2022.”

The commission said that the list containing the full names will be published on its website and later in local dailies on Friday, October 7, 2022.

PSC further noted that interviews will be conducted in Nairobi before the final list of successful candidates is forwarded to President William Ruto for appointment.

“The Commission has invited members of the public to send their views on the suitability of the shortlisted candidates to head state departments in the public service by email to psinterviews2022@publicservice.go.ke before the date of interview as part of public participation in the recruitment process,” Kutswa noted.
